Evidence based treatment pathways
The team at Neural Pathways bring a range and diversity of skills within contemporary neurological rehabilitation practice. All four flavours of therapy bring complementary and overlapping skills and share the same ambition to push boundaries and bring innovative interventions into day to day use.
We invest in our team and understand that as research and evidence changes, so should our skills. We support our team to undertake post graduate education to masters level and we actively encourage the development of specialism across the group. We also share our skills with others by speaking at conferences, writing for publication and hosting study days.
Total 24 hour physical management
We know that postural management over 24 hours is fundamental to maintaining health and wellbeing for people with physical impairments. Our team will look at the way you move and change position over the whole 24 hours, reviewing standing, your mobility, wheelchair and seating systems, armchairs and positioning overnight in bed.
We also understand that posture and positioning underpins your swallowing and communication. Our team will work together to optimise your positioning, to minimise the risk of aspiration and develop an effective and personalised communication strategy for you and those around you.
At times clients require a closer look at spasticity management in order to assist with optimising their physical rehabilitation. All of our physiotherapists are experienced in the use of hydrotherapy and are happy to help you find a local pool and design a hydrotherapy programme that you can do with a therapist, on your own or with your carers.
We also have senior therapists with special interest in Functional Electrical Stimulation.
