Providing Services to the Statutory Sector

Neural Pathways often provides therapy services directly to the statutory bodies of both the NHS and Social Services. We can offer a flexible and responsive service as a complete package or to fill gaps in provision where these arise. We ofer a full assessment service and set goals within timeframes so that therapeutic outcomes can be monitored.

Comment from a Commissioner of NHS Continuing Care

“ As commissioners of services for people with complex needs we have found the development of the services offered by Neural Pathways very beneficial. We have found that they been able to respond in an effective and flexible manner to meet individual need and provided professional and effective neuro-rehabilitation services that have enabled individuals to progress and maximise their potential for independence. ”

Partnership working with CBIT

We work in partnership with the Child Brain Injury Trust (see our Links page for more information) a brilliant charity who offer support to brain injured children and their families. We are particulaly keen to support their Child and Family Support initiative which has recently been launced in the North East and we are proud that CBIThas chosen this region as the first in England tobenefit from this initiative.

A word from the CEO of CBIT

“ The Child Brain Injury Trust has worked with Neural Pathways for the past two years. We have found their approach inclusive, person centred and extremely helpful. At all time they have treated us with care and professionalism often going that extra mile to help us to establish a much needed service for children with acquired brain injury across the North East. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to families and to organisations requiring their expertise. ”

Paula's Positive Experience

“ Working with Neural Pathways has been a very positive experience, helping me to keep looking forward and working hard at my rehabilitation. When my inspiration and self-motivation were waning they 'talked me up' and worked with me, at my pace, to improve my mobility and self confidence, showing me that I was capable of doing more than I realised. The physiotherapy and exercise program they gave me were tailored to my needs and at a pace that I could keep up with, something which I initially was very worried about. All the staff, including the receptionist were understanding of my situation and very patient with me - all were extremely friendly and 'down-to-earth,' not intimidating at all. Their enthusiasm is infectious and they obviously enjoy their work. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them and wished they had been in charge of my rehabilitation from the beginning. ”

Paul's rehabilitation journey

Paul says "I am very happy with the therapy I receive especially when I am worked hard in physio, and going in the pool." He recieves daily therapy from our team at Chase Park Rehabilitation Centre and certainly does work hard. Paul and the Neural Pathways Team have worked together to achieve some positive changes and are continuing to set and achieve goals toward further recovery acoss a whole range of functions.

Paul's parents' view of therapy services from Neural Pathways

“ Our son Paul was admitted to Chase Park Rehabilitation Centre in early 2007 under the expert guidance of Neural Pathways for OT and physiotherapy. In our 6 months experience to date we have found their staff to not only be highly qualified and experienced but equally importantly they are enthusiastic; optimistic; understanding and sympathetic in their delivery of the therapy. We have also found the therapists to be communicative with us and our son and explain the reasons behind what they are attempting to achieve in layman's language whilst at the same time treating us as adults and having some intelligence and understanding. We remain convinced that our son will achieve his optimum physical and mental level given the expertise in the treatment he is receiving from Neural Pathways and have no hesitation in recommending their services. ”
